First Monday - High Country Market Update

With the amount of water that came down from the heavens the past few weeks, especially the flooding from Monday & Tuesday, I am just having the opportunity to get the out. A lot people in the area were keeping their fingers crossed as I read there were up to 30 roads closed across the area because of flooding. We are getting back to "normal" as it is still raining off and on at this moment.

We have seen a slight increase in inventory, but at the same time, we have seen a nice rise in the number of properties that are Under Contract. In fact, it was almost a 10% jump in the last few weeks. Another good sign is that we are seeing better numbers for our land market as well. This is important, because it shows that banks are starting to loan a little more money for land purchases. Some of these purchases are for new construction and buyers are rolling the loan into new construction home loans.
