Over the last week a lot has transpired for many of our clients. With the shutdown of the Government, more questions remain than answers. Recently, we were told that only USDA loans would be impacted by the Government shutdown. But it seems that loans that utilize the same system to verify tax returns as USDA loans are having trouble. The entire USDA system is shutdown at this time, and while we were told that any other system is up and running, we are still seeing some shortcomings from other systems. For the most part, our clients have not been impacted by this shutdown, but inevitably, if this is not corrected soon, we will all see slower loan processes.
