First Monday High Country Market Update

I hope that you had a safe and happy Holiday, and did not eat too much over the past week. Winter weather made its way into the area, but fortunately it left us with clear skies (and cold temperatures) over the weekend. Over the weekend, many of the buyers begin driving around looking at signs and curb appeal for many properties. Over the weekend, I received the most "drive by" phone calls I have ever had. As you can tell by reading the report, our overall market has been improving slightly. We are around 104% ahead of last year, while the properties currently Under Contract are slightly decreasing over the last few months. At this time last year, we had slightly more properties Under Contract, but we had not closed as many at the same time. With closings taking slightly longer this year than last, I anticipate our year sales being just ahead of last year.
