Third Monday High Country Market Update

As you will see in the attached report, the number of months of inventory (Absorption Rate) grew the past two weeks. Looking back into last year, the number of properties Under Contract dropped significantly more this year than the same time last year. With positive forecasts coming from all directions, this is not disparaging figures. And recently, Charlotte and Raleigh were named two of the top 10 cities. This is very important for us, because a large percentage of our buyers are from these two metro areas.
Our top 10 markets to watch are entering 2014 with strong fundamentals, including recent job growth and longer-term economic success, as well as recent construction activity typical of vibrant markets. They are, in alphabetical order: Bethesda-Rockville-Frederick, MD; Charlotte, NC-SC; Denver, CO; Fort Worth, TX; Nashville, TN; Oklahoma City, OK; Raleigh, NC; Salt Lake City, UT; Seattle, WA; Tulsa, OK.
