Third Monday High Country Market Update

We finished 2013 slightly ahead of the previous year, and this has continued into the beginning of 2014. (*I understand we just entered 2014, but comparing recent sales to the previous years, the numbers add up favorably). Buyers started the New Year off searching feverishly through online real estate websites. The number of searches the past few weeks was far greater than previous weeks. Without checking the past records, I am going out on a limb and say that the current web activity is higher than any week since our MLS syndicated our data.

The next few days are supposed to be the coldest stretch we have had this winter. We are also expecting the greatest daily snowfall we have had this season on Tuesday. While the amount of snow will not be a lot to be concerned with, the cold temperatures and winds are important to note.
