First Monday NC High Country Market Update

What is in store for the High Country real estate market for 2014? Thus far in the winter months of 2014, we have seen a lot of Buyer traffic, snow, and weather that has disrupted some buyers from their weekend trips to the mountains. And while all of this is going on, we are still seeing the average sales price of homes in our market continue to rise, and the number of sales transactions is tracking similar to last year. Our Absorption Rate is slightly higher across the board, while the number of properties Under Contract is higher in the Home market. We expect the Absorption rate to rise a little more the next few months, while our inventory increases. We also expect the number of properties Under Contract to rise.
