Third Monday NC High Country Market Update

With prices throughout the state (and the country) still rising on average, our sales continue an upward growth. We still have a lot of inventory, especially with homes, which added additional inventory these past two weeks. Our Average Sales Price and Median Sales Prices are still comparable to last year at the same time. One thing I would like to point out, there was a recent development that was bought by a liquidation company and the previous listing office entered them into our MLS system as sales. This has skewed the numbers for some land sales (lowering the average price and increasing the number of sales), while in-fact, it was one large transaction that included a lot of smaller tracts.

It seems that Spring is around the corner, we are starting to see buds on the trees and many flowers start to bloom. Our Summer season is just a head, the time to start planning is now...
