NC High Country Market Update February 16, 2015

While the national market continues to see a rise in their individual markets, we are still working hard to catch back up. Recent rate and lending changes have encouraged buyers to take another look at a primary or secondary home in the mountains. Again, we are seeing high numbers of homes Under Contract; and this is giving us great reason to believe our market in 2015 will mimic similar transactions as 2014. After speaking with several other local experts, we expect to see a reduction in the average sales price again in 2015. We also anticipate the number of foreclosures to reduce again in 2015 (which means a reduction in the average sales price has very little to do with low-end housing).
